More than $27,000 is raised for wildlife impacted by Australian wildfires

Forever Giving is proud to announce that with the help of donors all over the world, we have raised more than $27,000 for the RSPCA in Australia. This donation will help the organization continue to care for wildlife that was injured and displaced during last year’s catastrophic wildfires. 

The devastating brush fires destroyed more than 46 million acres across the country and affected an estimated three billion animals. Although the fires have been contained for several months, efforts continue to care for the injured animals and to reintroduce wildlife into safe habitats. 

“I’m so proud of our Forever family all over the world who came together to help make an impact for the beautiful wildlife in Australia,” Forever President Gregg Maughan said. “The work done by the RSPCA is so important. It really is an amazing organization.” 

In addition to the immediate response during the wildfires, the RSPCA has been engaged in long-term care that will continue for the foreseeable future. There is still a need for housing, food veterinary provisions and supplies, and the organization is helping to keep these services from being stretched to the limit. 

That’s why it was so important to continue to support the RSPCA and Australian wildlife after the spotlights faded and the news crews went home. Today, these animals are getting the long-term care they need and being reintroduced to their homes. 

The power of giving 

These donations were part of Forever Giving’s commitment to help make things better and improve the world. The money and time donated has helped people all over the world lead better, more fulfilling lives and provided new opportunities. 

Before raising funds for the RSPCA, Forever Giving supporters helped pack more than five million meals for Rise Against Hunger during a multi-year campaign. Forever Giving has also helped provide medical supplies and educational opportunities for children and families all over the globe.
